Introducing James Kenneth Pang Hai

There's room in our house -- check.
There's room in our van -- check.
There's room in our hearts -- check.
Alright, then, let's go!...

You guessed it -- In a few weeks, we will embark on another journey to China to pick up our son, Pang Hai!  Very few have been told about this good news because, as always, we like to be certain it's a sure thing before we make any announcement (and it's fair to say, we prefer to be private about important family matters).  While this process is always a big waiting game, things have progressed quickly as of late and we have been 'pretty sure' for several weeks now that all was a go. But it wasn't until last month that we got the official green light from the agency.  Now that we received our travel approval a few days ago, it's about as official as it's going to get, folks! So, we thought this might be the quickest way to tell as many people as possible all at once!

About Pang Hai: Following tradition, we have picked a family name for him --- James Kenneth Pang Hai (we assume he may prefer to keep using his Chinese name).  He's quite handsome and is described as a very sweet and responsible boy who is lively and full of imagination. He likes playing with Legos, he loves to draw, and he's a good student.  He likes to recite traditional Chinese poetry and to practice Chinese paper cutting. Though it's likely he does not know much English yet (we won't know how much English he can understand/speak until we meet him in person), we expect he will pick up on it quickly as it is said that he's bright and eager to learn.

With the language barrier and the fact that he is 8 years old, we expect there to be some challenges at first.  But, we are so looking forward to bringing him home and we hope you all will please help us welcome him to the good ol' USA as it will be a huge transition for him!  Pang Hai has always longed for a family -- we are lucky to have been chosen to be that family.

Please feel free to leave positive, welcoming comments here or just say 'hello' to Pang Hai!  :)  More updates to come as we draw closer to traveling...
